2007
| Ubisoft releases a Digimask-enabled version of ‘Rainbow Six: Vegas’ for the Xbox 360. The reviews are universally positive:
“The mere fact that you can sneak around beautifully-rendered Vegas… with a bunch of mates over Xbox Live, while seeing their actual faces on their actual characters is a huge technological leap forward for multiplayer gaming.” Spong.com “This new face mapping feature is something that I can’t wait to try out with friends... Seeing my character in action on screen was extremely weird but made the game even more believable and intense.” Hexus.gaming “Thanks to Digimask's new plug-in for the Unreal engine, players can now map their own faces on to their multiplayer avatars with scarily realistic results… The results of the game's facial mapping feature are frighteningly authentic.” Eurogamer Additionally, the tech creates a whole new trend for creating customised characters within the game and YouTube becomes a natural vehicle for displaying these: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nuo-j0MC6So Also released in 2007 was Konami's Digimask enabled game for the PS2, 'Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol'. |

2006

Digimask finishes the first 100% automated Creation Process. Working with both front and side photos, there is now no need for any point-marking. It is estimated that for next-generation games consoles, like the Xbox 360, the fully-automated process will take less than a minute! In 2006 the UK Government department dealing with drugs awareness approached Digimask to create a startling consumer application which could visually demonstrate the adverse physical effects of drugs on the face. Taking Crystal Meth as the prime example, ‘Drugs Mugs’ was developed. Initially introduced as an interactive exhibit on a touring bus, Drugs Mugs was soon introduced into the Talk To Frank website and has been used ever since. Essentially, the user uploads a front photo of their face and they receive back a short animation showing the deterioration of their features as would be caused by the extreme use of the drug. Also released in 2006 was Konami's Digimask enabled game for the PS2, 'Karaoke Revolution Country'. Digimask partnered with Rok Corp in Beijing, China to deliver an application using personalised amusing messages via MMS on cellphones. There were several different mini-movies incorporating the user’s head showing both animation and sound. |

Digimask signs a deal with ROK in China for the first such exploitation giving personalized Digimask MMS messages. Also released in 2005 was Konami's Digimask enabled game for the PS2, 'Karaoke Revolution Party' and Sony's 'EyeToy Play 2'. |

In December, Digimask signs a deal with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe to enable Digimask on the Playstation2, using the Eyetoy camera. The process now offers the option to create the 3D Head from just a single (front) photograph, although this does not produce a true 360º Head. Processing time is now 2.5 minutes. |

2002
|
Digimask releases its first client-based Creation Tool - The Digimask Launch Pad - which allowed consumers to create their 3D Head on their own PC. The first release of this software was in conjunction with Kodak and was incorporated on all of their PhotoCDs. The processing time now is 4 minutes. |
2001

Server-based, the process was reduced to 9 points on the front and 7 for the side. This was to remain the case for a few years. The processing time then was 9 minutes. In October, the first prototype of the Digimask System is shown to the then-President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (the Sony division that handled Playstation) who is greatly impressed by the technology.
